MINNEAPOLIS – July 22, 2022 – Visante announced Angie Amado (PharmD, CSP) has joined the specialty pharmacy practice last week as a Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services. Amado’s extensive experience working with health systems to optimize all aspects of their specialty pharmacy services further builds Visante’s practice area and supports increasing client demand.
Amado brings tactical and strategic planning to health system clients and adherence to rigorous standards of practice. Her leadership and experience in this area are an important combination to support health systems’ specialty pharmacy operations and success, demonstrated by her success as a Program Director Vanderbilt Health Pharmacy Group. During this previous role, she oversaw quality and compliance management where she was proved to excel in process improvement, quality assurance practices and programs.

Amado earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from GA PCOM – School of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia State University. She completed post-graduate residency training at the UW Health and UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in conjunction with Realo Specialty Care Pharmacy. Amado is also fluent in Spanish.
