Christine de Vries is a medical affairs strategist with experience ranging from the laboratory bench to consulting with the executive leadership of major pharmaceutical companies. After obtaining a pre-med degree from Cornell University, she began her career as a medical researcher at Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital (Boston) focused on the science underlying clinical advances. Having discovered her interest in communicating medical advances, she earned a Master of Education degree from Harvard University and, for the past 25 years, has led medical communications teams as Director of Strategy, Director of Education, and Vice President for Scientific Affairs.
Christine is the co-author of the book Successful Cardiac Rehabilitation and has played a role in developing hundreds of publications from strategic plans to journal articles and proceedings publications.
As Director of Strategy and Education at Medscape, she guided the development of online interactive programming to deliver scientifically sound, clinically relevant, and strategically positioned education for health care professionals including scientists, clinicians, caregivers, and patients.
As a Senior Consultant at Visante, Christine participates in developing strategy, reporting outcomes from advisory boards, and conducting research to obtain actionable insights designed to improve performance within organizations and to enhance productivity among diverse stakeholder groups.
