Julie Kowalske is an experienced pharmacy consultant known for her innovative approach to transforming healthcare through high-performance pharmacy.

As a data-driven thought leader, Julie has a deep understanding of the pharmacy business and its impact on patient care. With over two decades of experience, she has supported hospital, retail, and health system organizations in optimizing their 340B Drug Pricing Programs and implementing strategies that enhance pharmacy operations and profitability.

Before joining Visante, Julie was a Senior Product Manager and consultant at McKesson Corporation, where she developed pharmacy supply chain optimization solutions to reduce drug costs for US health systems. She also led a cross-functional team to design retail pharmacy program strategies for health systems, supporting system-owned community pharmacies in a competitive market.

Previously, Julie served as the Senior Advisor at CVS Specialty/Caremark pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), where she was responsible for PBM 340B Program strategy with health systems nationwide. She improved the 340B prescription capture rate of limited distribution drugs through specialty pharmacy and provided advisory services as the 340B subject matter expert within the PBM.

Additionally, Julie worked as the 340B Drug Pricing Program Director for Aurora Health Care (now AHSCA), leading a team of financial analysts for drug cost savings and regulatory compliance of the 340B Program. Her experience includes Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee formulary review, Covered Entity conversion & optimization, drug manufacturer 340B audits, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) audits, Third Party Administrator (TPA) RFPs and implementation, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), and drug wholesaler distribution transitions.

Julie is involved with various Wisconsin advisory committees aimed at improving patient care within healthcare, particularly related to Medicaid waivers and federal government programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.
