Kasandra Botkin (PharmD, MBA, MS) is a Senior Consultant in the hospital and health system division of Visante. Kasandra is instrumental in Visante’s approach to helping clients transform their pharmacy operations into high-performance organizations. Her clinical expertise coupled with her management experience gives her the unique ability to help clients optimize the business of pharmacy.

Before joining Visante, Kasandra was the Associate Director of Pharmacy at Kentucky Children’s Hospital, part of UK Healthcare, in Lexington, Kentucky. Kasandra oversaw more than 50 pharmacists and technicians in this role, established a new pediatric COVID mAb infusion clinic, secured capital funds to renovate and expand the pediatric pharmacy, and operationalized COVID vaccines for children’s hospitals and clinics. Kasandra managed the USP 797 compliant cleanroom and supported operations for TPN preparation and distribution to off-site NICUs at other local hospitals. She also implemented a financial dashboard to track non-oncology infusion charges and reimbursement rates.

Previously, Kasandra managed the children’s hospital pharmacy at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI where she led the team through USP 797 renovation projects and was instrumental in driving positive culture change.

Kasandra received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and her Master's degree in Business Administration from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. She completed a PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and earned her Master's in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from The Ohio State University. She has served in several roles and various committees within ASHP, APhA, OPA, OSHP, and MSHP.
