Mandy Leonard (BS, PharmD, BCPS) is Visante’s Drug Policy & Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist offering clients an in-depth knowledge of the appropriate and safe use of pharmaceuticals in institutional settings. Over the years, she has contributed to several publications and lectures within these particular areas. In her role at Visante, Mandy serves as a drug information specialist in the health system and pharmaceutical arena.
For the past 19 years, Mandy Leonard has been in charge of the Department of Pharmacy Drug Information Service at the Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Health System. Additionally, she is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Mandy is responsible for coordinating all Cleveland Clinic pharmacy residency programs including PGY1 Traditional, PGY1/2, and PGY2. She has served as an ASHP Residency Guest Surveyor for the past 3 years. Finally, she is responsible for drug shortages, drug recalls, REMS programs and formulary management for the Cleveland Clinic Health-System.
She has adjunct faculty appointments at the Colleges of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University, the University of Toledo, Ohio Northern University, and NEOMED and lectures on pharmacology at Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and is the Pharmacology Thread Director.
Mandy Leonard earned her BS in Pharmacy and Doctorate of Pharmacy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She completed a Drug Information Practice Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
