Ryan Craynon, PharmD, MS, specializes in working with hospital and health system clients, particularly in pharmacy operations, consolidated service centers, and infusion strategy.
Previously, he served as the Director of Acute Care Pharmacy Operations for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical System, overseeing all aspects of inpatient and clinic operations and providing leadership for seven separate pharmacies. Ryan led the design and relocation of pharmacy services into multiple new pharmacies, including a 19,000-square-foot main pharmacy, implemented sterile and non-sterile automation and technology, expanded drug repackaging services, and developed novel pharmacy training programs across various settings.
Ryan earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the University of Cincinnati and completed a two-year health system pharmacy administration and leadership residency at the University of Wisconsin Health. Additionally, he obtained his MS in pharmacy administration from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Ryan is a member of ASHP and serves on the Section Advisory Group for Strategy and Industry Disruptors. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati. In 2023, Ryan and his team at Cincinnati Children’s received the ASHP Best Practices Award for their innovative technician leadership training program.
