Transform pharmacy operations to improve patient care by adding comprehensive ambulatory pharmacy services
A Northeast Regional Referral Center needed to greatly expand its outpatient pharmacy services. Visante’s team was brought on board and moved quickly to conduct a pharmacy assessment and review. Based on the assessment, Visante helped transformed the hospital system’s pharmacy services into a business within the business, identifying ambulatory pharmacy services as an essential way to advance patient care while also improving financial results. Visante developed and implemented a comprehensive business plan that included:

After implementation of the comprehensive business plan, the Regional Referral Center saw improved continuity of care, increased patient satisfaction, and reduced readmission rates, all while expanding the level of service it provided as the community’s only 24-hour pharmacy.
