Amy O’Kroley (CPhT, PACS) works with Visante’s clients to help manage and optimize their specialty pharmacy programs and services. As specialty pharmacy continues to evolve into an essential area of patient care and financial performance, Amy’s expertise helps clients implement new programs and expand existing services.
Amy’s experience as a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) and board-certified prior authorization specialist (PACS) specifically in specialty pharmacy gives Visante clients a competitive edge in developing the most advanced programs. Simple or complex in nature, Amy has worked with many types of programs. She is flexible, responsive and misses no detail as she helps clients to assess, plan, implement and improve programs.
Before joining Visante, Amy worked with the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics where, as Ambulatory Medication Access Coordinator, she worked with multiple UW specialty clinics. She also developed and implemented prior authorization processes for all the clinics, worked on resolving insurance rejections and conducted benefits investigations. Amy assisted outside specialty pharmacy programs across the U.S. to implement their specialty pharmacy prior authorization programs.
Amy also has been a senior Certified Pharmacy Technician in retail pharmacy at Walgreens and has published several articles about pharmacy technicians and specialty pharmacy, including a CE in PSW Journal.
