Angie Amado
Director

Angie Amado (PharmD, CSP) is a Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services for Visante clients, working with health systems to optimize all aspects of their specialty pharmacy services.

Angie brings tactical and strategic planning to health system clients, creating financial impact, patient and provider satisfaction, and development and education of staff and adherence to rigorous standards of practice. Her leadership and experience in this area are an important combination to support health systems’ specialty pharmacy operations and success.

Before joining Visante, Angie was the Program Director, overseeing quality & compliance management for Vanderbilt’s for-profit specialty pharmacy, Vanderbilt Health Pharmacy Group. There, she was responsible for the overall performance of the department to maintain and exceed recognized national standards based on accepted patient and health system metrics. Previous roles provided Angie with proven success in supply chain management, operations and specialty pharmacy oversight.

Angie is an expert in process improvement, quality assurance practices and programs. She delivers on continuous quality improvement and ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations as well as client organizational policies and procedures.

Angie earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from GA PCOM  – School of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia State University. She completed post-graduate residency training at the UW Health and UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in conjunction with Realo Specialty Care Pharmacy. Angie is also fluent in Spanish.
