David Woods brings significant experience and expertise in drug contracting and supply chain management for hospitals, health systems and IDNs. He finds cost-effective solutions that drive efficiency and measurable improvement for hospital pharmacy and leads to improved financial operational performance. His knowledge of 340B contracting is also an asset to our clients.
Before joining Visante, David was the Pharmacy Category Account Manager at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, Wis. In this role, David managed system contracting for the pharmacy representing six hospitals, 17 retail pharmacies and 93 clinic locations. He developed a process to increase revenue and reduce risk across various entities. David advocated for biosimilar adoptions and other contracting opportunities across all class of trades including 340B contracting. In this role, David’s work resulted in outstanding financial and operational performance results in the areas of contract management, compliance reporting, failure to supply maximization, EDI payment system management, strategic long buys and drug shortage management.
David is also a pharmacy technician with experience across supply chain, operating rooms, clinics and hospice care. He holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
