Our Team

Michael Tilkens (PharmD, DPLA) is a consultant at Visante working with clients to optimize their specialty pharmacy services. 

Mike brings robust experience in both academic and community-based health system specialty pharmacy settings, serving in both operational and clinical leadership capacities. He has experience in successfully navigating accreditations, residency programming, leading research and outcomes work and leveraging technology to drive efficiencies and improve the patient experience. 

Prior to joining Visante, Mike was the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at the UNC Health Home Delivery and Specialty Pharmacy. He was responsible for leading clinical pharmacy services, research and outcomes work and student and resident programming. He was co-investigator on several grant-funded projects showing the value of the integrated health-system specialty pharmacy care model. In addition, he led targeted efforts that resulted in increased specialty prescription capture rates and revenue back to the health system.  Mike serves on the ASHP Section of Specialty Pharmacy Practitioners Outcomes and Value Section Advisory Group and Vizient Pharmacy Professional Development and Workforce Committee. 

Michael Tilkens received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and is currently completing his Masters of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
