Our Team

Rico Powell, CPhT, brings more than 20 years’ of experience in pharmacy leadership and automation systems to Visante’s clients. Rico leads clients through all facets of their clinical informatics and technology strategies and ensures successful implementations with measurable results. He is highly committed to excellent client service and satisfaction.

Prior to joining Visante, Rico was a Pharmacy Informatics Advisor at The Robertson Group (TRG) which was acquired by Visante in 2022. In this position, Rico provided clients with system leadership and implementations oversight for Pharmacy Automatons and Diversion Management Teams.  

Previously, Rico was Automation Analyst at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. There, he implemented an Omnicell Central Pharmacy Manager project that included remedies for control gaps within inventory control while providing opportunities to identify cost-saving measures of reducing inventory. Rico’s work with Le Bonheur resulted in decreased inventory value of $1.5 million.   

In 2013 Rico was recognized as National Pharmacy Technician of the year finalist through PTCB.  He is proudly active in the career development of pharmacy technicians with pharmacy practice models constantly changing. He currently serves as one of the Ownership Partners and Program Director of PPTA- Professional Pharmacy Technician Academy.
